Not only bound to the Punjabi Industry, but introducing the western culture hip hop genres and collaborating with some amazing rappers and freestylers from all around the world. He came a long way building himself differently but as we lost such an inspiration on May 29th, 2022, it had been one of the hardest days for his parents and his fans too. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu known as Sidhu Moose Wala was born in Moosa Village of Mansa District, Punjab to S. Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur. From a very young age, he was influenced by the hip hop genre and got inspired from the singer Tupac Shakur. Also he has mentioned about the singer many times. With reaching the levels of success, Sidhu Moose Wala also joined the Punjab Congress in December 2021 along with being declared as the Congress’s MLA Candidate from Mansa District. Unfortunately, he lost the elections against the Aam Aadmi Party but won his game in the hearts of the people with his back to back hit songs.

Shubhdeep’s songs were a whole lot of truth, describing the happenings and his struggles that he had to face to reach the heights of success. His first penned down track was ‘License’ sung by Ninja and moreover, he went to Brampton, Canada for his further studies. He came into limelight after his first successful track ‘G Wagon’ with Gurlez Akhtar in 2017. In most of the songs, he talked about his controversies with different artists as these songs were an answer to all those who degraded him during his way to success. A number of times, he was referred to promote gun culture in India. But later, in one of his views he clarified that guns are a part of the Sikh Religion and should be used when a hatred crime is happening. Adding further that he was passionate about guns and should only be used for your protection not in a wrong way. He was also charged for keeping guns and rifles a lot of times. Straight as an arrow, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu always inspired the youth to live and love their parents and never get involved into any wrongful practices. Introducing the western culture into the Punjabi Industry, he took the industry to different levels all around the world and set up new trends into the music industry. With his song 295 from his album Moosetape, describes dirty politics played by the politicians being played into the nation, moreover he also mentioned how the media has been publishing biased news nowadays with adding the mind games played in the name of religion. Therefore, this song has been a big hit globally and crossed 195 million plus views along with being a Number 1 trending music video on youtube.

Section 295 of the Indian Penal Code (I.P.C) defines the discretion of a place of worship or any religious object. The person held responsible is punished with imprisonment extended to two or more years and/or with a fine or both. The section has been enforced to maintain the respect of religious sentiments of different citizens of various castes and creeds. Sidhu Moose Wala never had the intentions to hurt the emotions of any person but he used to speak the truth and put in the relevant thoughts and facts in his songs. His way of delivering the songs with their deep meaning and shaping the society into a better one will never be forgotten. On the day of Bhog and Antim Ardas June 8, Shubhdeep’s father promised that he will be keeping his son alive amongst us with the songs that he had already written but could not record due the tragic incident.

After losing such an inspirational soul, the parents have been left alone in the world where a large majority from all around the world have paid their deepest condolences by visiting their parents and giving them a ray of hope that their son is still around them and alive in this world. Tribute from various singers, music composers, directors, celebrities has been paid on their live shows. Not only this, but the singer has left a remarkable impression in the hearts and the minds of the people. Whilst visiting his parents, a Pakistani Sikka Khan Muhammad Sadik who met his brother after 75 years has also shared his sorrow with the family.

This has been a huge loss to the Punjabi Industry, his parents and his fans. We will not get another Sidhu Moose Wala in the Industry as it feels like a personal loss for each and everyone.
